The empath gives to feel valuable.
The narcissist takes to feel alive.
Two extremes orbiting the same absence.

This isn’t attraction, it’s recognition.
One sees the wound, the other sees the supply.

Every manipulation starts as a form of self-preservation.
It’s not evil, it’s economics.

The empath invests emotion where it will never grow.
The narcissist hoards validation like currency.
Both fear bankruptcy, one of love, the other of attention.

That’s why the connection feels cosmic, karmic, divine.
It’s not divine. It’s debt.

You don’t leave the narcissist by blocking them.
You leave when you stop auditioning for their approval.
Awareness severs the supply chain.

Healing doesn’t mean becoming colder.
It means seeing the transaction and declining the offer.

Love that demands exhaustion isn’t love, it’s labor.
And the empath’s burnout is the beginning of self-respect.
